I received this book as an advanced review copy that the author asked me to leave an honest review for. Honestly, I love all of Charlene's books I have read and this is no different. I didn't want this book to end when it did! Charlene has a way of writing so well you get inside the narrator's mind and connect with her so well it's like saying goodbye to a friend when the book ends. This book was about the struggles a woman had with trying to start a family and choosing to instead pursue adoption. It is a very touching story that shows that there is more than one way to be a mother. Now I'm hoping there will be a sequel to describe the adjustment after the adoption process is complete!
What a heart felt beautiful well written story. I understand what she must be going thru, Achieves the first two of her list but the third, I can't imagine wanting something so precious and it looks like you're never going to get what you want. Charlene writing pulls you in and it so heart felt, you can't but love her story. I have read several of her books and all of them are beautiful.

This is about the 5th book I've read in the series. It goes hand in hand with Forever in My Heart and Whispers of Hope, which were the books I indentified with most. This novelq gave a real human look in to the past of the mom in the other 2 books' main character, Tracey. It's always interesting to go back and see why people are they way they are. It was a short read, but I enjoyed another visit to that world.
Charlene did a remarkable job with her information on endometriosis and working it into the story. I was unfamiliar with many of the symptoms and their effects on the lives of those who have this disease. My only problem with this book, as with all novellas, is the short abrupt end. It is a touching story about how a flawed woman tries to become a mother. It evoked many emotions, but it was honest. I’m hoping there will be a sequel to describe the adjustments required for the new family. I received an ARC for an honest review.

This was emotional and tugged at my heart. This book was about the struggles a woman had with trying to have a baby and choosing to instead to adopt. It is a story that shows that there is more than one way to be a mother and extend the family. I don't have children but I still consider my husband and I a family. The characters were believable and easy to become involved with.
I loved this story, it held such emotion and gave a really good insight into the struggles of infertility. The two main characters were very believable and people anyone would be honored to call a friend. Joanna's mom, on the other hand, was a despicable excuse for a mom. I would have liked to have seen a softer side of her shown at the end. But, in life there are moms like her and so she was most definitely a believable character. I would recommend highly recommend this book. It's a quick read that will tug at your heartstrings.

Tragic yet hopeful- this novella shows you the back story of Tracy (Forever in my heart) and her parents (Joanna and Henry) who struggled for many years to call a child their own.
Heart wrenching we watch the characters grow, fight for what they believe in and finally achieve success (defined by their own standards). We learn through them that dreams don't need to be set in stone and if we lay down our expectations long enough we will receive what we were always meant to have.
Recommended to read if you enjoyed Forever in my heart or any other of Charlene Carr's stories- surely you won't be disappointed.
